Katie: My favorite scenes are always the scenes I do with Colin. We were talking about this the other day. Because the Morgana and Merlin scenes, there’s always so much to play in them because there’s so much subtext between the two of them. And the more important things that go on between them are what they don’t say rather than what they say.
Because obviously at the time, Merlin begins to know that Morgana is magical, before Morgana knows the pressure herself. And I think Merlin is desperate to find somebody else he can talk to about this. But he can’t say it to her. So all of our scenes have got this unspoken thing between us. Morgana wants to be able to talk to him about her fears. Merlin wants to allay them.
Katie: Yeah, because Merlin has been SO receptive to helping me in the past! Really.
Colin: He has.
Katie: Really. REEEEEEALLY?
Jeremy: Yeah! He's always been there for you.
Colin: He sent you to the druid camp.
Katie: And all I wanted you to do was to have a nice conversation with me....And actually, it's your fault that I'm evil! Your fault. Had you been more understanding...I-I don't think I would have gone to the dark side.
Colin: Riiiiiiiiight.
Katie: Yeah you should feel guilty. You should have difficulty sleeping at night.
